Today we're celebrating motherhood and to celebrate we turned our attention to Paula Francis and her mother Cherry Francis the amazing duo, co-founders of SuperFood Lx and asked why they decided to work together and what Mother's Day means to them.
CB: Why and how did you decide to work together?
In short, my hair fell out and my mum helped it to grow back with a homemade oil formula (which is now called Illuminism). I knew that if my mum could help me that we must be able to help lots of other people who suffer with hair loss for various reasons whether it be stress, diet, hormones or poor hair product choices. I am and have had hair drama as a result of all of those things so we are really passionate about helping women overcome those issues.
CB: What are the highlights of working with your Mum?
It never feels like work!
CB: What are the highlights of working with your daughter?
Same here, it doesn't feel like a job. It is fun and rewarding project we do together
CB: Are there any challenges with working with your mum?
None for me!
CB: Are there any challenges with working with your daughter?
Paula can get stressed but that's what the CBD is for!
CB: Any advice for anyone who is or thinking about partnering with their mum or daughter?
Go for it! Like in any business venture, understand each others strengths and weaknesses and work around them accordingly. You're family and work colleagues so set expectations as if you were working with any associate or stranger and all should be well.
CB: What does mother's day mean to you and what is the one thing special that you do to celebrate?
Mothers day to me is 'pamper mum day' she usually gets flowers or an ornamental plant like orchids and of course treated like a Queen for the day.
